The purpose of this seminar is to present an evidence-based review of the evolution of common orthopedic procedures in dogs over the last generation. The session will compare the past and present, with an emphasis on what has changed over time and what data led to changes. The session will focus on the biology and mechanics of fracture management, the dysplastic elbow, osteotomies of the distal portion of the femur, and osteotomies of the proximal portion of the tibia.
