Christina Papadimitriou is Associate Professor at Oakland University, School of Health Sciences. Christina received her Ph.D. from Boston University, Department of Sociology (2000) and her post-doctoral training from Northwestern University, Institute of Healthcare Studies (2009) and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR). Christina is an active qualitative rehabilitation researcher who studies person-centeredness in rehabilitation, peer support interventions for persons with disabilities, and stakeholder perspectives who care for persons with severe traumatic injuries. Her work has been funded by NIDILRR, the American Institute of Research (AIR), and the VA. She has been methodological consultant in several SCI QUERI studies at the Hines Veteran Hospital and was a Senior Scholar at George Washington University(GWU) in the Center for Healthcare Innovation and Policy Research. Christina is currently working with Dr. Trudy Mallinson (GWU) and Dr. Theresa Pape (Hines, VA in IL and Northwestern University) on understanding behavioral change in persons with disorders of consciousness funded by AIR and JW grants. She is a member-at-large in the Board of Governors of ACRM, and is the co-chair of the Consumer Engagement and Research Translation.
