Graduate Student
University of Tennessee
I, Cheng-pin Kuo, am a Ph.D. student of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Tennessee. My current research focuses on air quality modeling, machine learning, and exposure assessment. My professional goal is to use the power of modeling and machine learning to improve air quality and benefit public health. I had published 8 scientific articles in international journals as first author (3 articles) and co-author (5 articles). My works had been accepted by the international conferences in 2012 ISES, 2019 AGU, 2020 A&WMA, and 2020 CMAS. My doctoral research will focus on real-time air quality forecasting models and the fusion of deterministic models and statistical models. My research will provide a more efficient way to forecast the air quality and assess air quality improvement under diverse air quality implementation plans.
