Greg Evans PhD, P.Eng, FAAAS, FCAE, FCEEA, is a Professor in the University of Toronto Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. He is the Director of the Southern Ontario Centre for Atmospheric, a multidisciplinary centre investigating the impacts of air pollution on environment, climate and health. His research investigates air quality using advanced instrumentation and data mining. Current focus areas include traffic related air pollution including non-tailpipe emissions, identifying the sources of pollution, development of inexpensive sensors, and understanding how the sources and composition of particulate matter influences its potential to induce oxidative stress. Professor Evans is also the Director of the Institute for Studies in Transdisciplinary Engineering Education and Practice, a new department within the Faculty of Applied Science andEngineering at the University of Toronto.
