Jiannan Chen, PhD, EIT

Dr. Chen is an assistant professor in the department of CECE at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Chen’s research focuses on solid waste management, including fate and transport of emerging contaminants in the waste containment system, polymer-based geosynthetics, and machine learning in engineering design. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin in 2015 and worked as a postdoc researcher at the University of Virginia before joining UCF.
