Lisa Greenwood, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Management and Safety at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), with over 20 years of experience in environmental and occupational health and safety management. Her teaching and research interests include environmental, health and safety (EHS) management systems integration and implementation, environmental sustainability, corporate social responsibility, consensus-based standards development, and thinking in systems. Dr. Greenwood holds a B.S. in Environmental, Health, and Safety Management, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Environmental and Natural Resource Policy, and is certified as an ISSP Sustainability Associate.
Dr. Greenwood has been involved in national and international standards development for over 20 years, including participation on U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) 207 on Environmental Management and the U.S. TAG for ISO 26000 on Social Responsibility. She has represented ANSI as a U.S. delegate to ISO TC 207 since 2005 and is Chair of the U.S. Sub-TAG on environmental management systems.
