Junjun Zheng is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Urban Planning and Policy, University of Illinois at Chicago. He explores the inefficiency and inequality of resource consumption across cities and communities, with a focus on the urban food system. His ongoing studies deploy urban analytics to identify planning solutions for urban sustainability and resiliency. He has co-authored several journal articles and is currently developing an interactive web tool that aims to increase community awareness of food waste and help identity missed opportunities for resource recovery. Also, Junjun has been an active student member of A&WMA for four years.
