Paul has 44 years as an environmental professional, 40 years in the cement industry. He has been involved with cement solidification/stabilization (S/S) at more than 400 contaminated sites in the N. America over the last 39 years. He presently is the Environmental Remediation Specialist for LafargeHolcim with responsibility throughout North America for the management of S/S projects. He also works with his European colleagues on S/S sites. For more than three years Paul has actively conducted research to determine the best cementitious mix designs for the encapsulation of PFAS in landfill leachate. This has resulted in successful field trials, using the treated leachate as an alternate daily cover. The process will begin commercialization in June 2021. This process has a patent pending.
Paul has been actively involved in resource recovery projects for more than 39
years. He has used cement products to make fertilizer from animal manure, treat waste at
licensed treatment facilities, and encapsulate millions of tons of contaminated soils,
sludges, dredge spoils and other media.
Paul and his wife have six children and five grandchildren. To date, none of them have
expressed a significant interest in Solidification/Stabilization!
