This panel will provide a general overview of energy production. The presenters will cover a general overview of how the technology works, what control equipment is usually used, and the regulatory requirements that are generally considered. Panelists will include an overview of projects from cradle-to-grave. This panel will cover technology used to power today’s grid from conventional technology, like combustion turbines and boilers, to cutting-edge technology like landfill gas-to-energy, and renewables. This is a great introductory panel presented for all attendees, but it focused on reaching the student/young professional attendee. The attendee should walk away with a general understanding of how energy is generated as well as a general understanding of what air and waste permitting considerations go into planning a new project.
Panelists: John Hampp, John.Hampp@fpl.com Gregory Terry, Gregory.Terry@fpl.com Diane Saber, Diane.Saber@reethink.net
