CEMTEK KVB-Enertec™, Inc., (CKVBE) is a leading supplier of custom-engineered continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) and Data Acquisition Handling System (DAHS), and a provider of expert support for compliance and noncompliance applications. Our dynamic range of CEMS and DAHS products makes significant contributions to compliance and process improvement within the marketplace. We have 50+ years of experience and have built CEMS to measure a variety of emissions from a variety of sources. CEMTEK has in-depth experience with TDLS. Tunable Diode Laser Spectroscopy (TDLS) has been used extensively in many Ammonia (NH3) process control applications, and recently has been expanded into the world of CEMS. There is now considerable interest nationwide in utilizing TDLS to measure and monitor NH3 emissions. In addition, CEMTEK TDLS has been successfully installed and used for compliance HCl monitoring, meeting PS-18 regulations at over 30 locations in the country. The Performance Specification 18 (PS-18) is an existing EPA's performance specification and test procedure which was originally developed to evaluate the acceptability of Hydrogen Chloride (HCl) CEMS at stationary sources; in addition the application of PS-18 can be expanded to cover the NH3 TDLS CEMS. This presentation will discuss CEMTEK’s development and testing in meeting the PS-18 requirements for TDLS NH3 CEMS and their plan for using TDLS CEMS to measure the emissions of other gases of interest.
