Allison Markowsky, MD, MSHS is the medical director of the Children’s National Pediatric Hospitalist Group at Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA. She is also co-chair of the AAP Section on Hospital Medicine Neonatal Hospitalist Subcommittee and co-editor of the AAP Quality Connections Newsletter. With a masters in health care quality, her primary interests include quality improvement, safety and education with a focus on newborn care and simulation education. Recent projects include work on neonatal abstinence syndrome, early onset sepsis and newborn education.
