The evaluation and treatment of tongue and lip ties is a rapidly evolving and hotly debated topic. This session will review how frenotomies have outpaced the evidence to support ever-widening indications. As a result, there are concerns that many children undergo unnecessary procedures, diverting attention from problems such as inadequate breastfeeding support.
