Appendicitis is the most common reason for emergency surgery in children. Despite its prevalence, diagnosis often is challenging. Faculty will discuss how efforts to decrease pediatric radiation exposure complicate diagnosis and the emergence of non-operative management of uncomplicated appendicitis.
