High-risk youths, including those who are homeless or in foster care, experience a higher prevalence of tobacco use and challenges accessing cessation therapies. In addition, vulnerable populations face racially targeted marketing and increased exposure to tobacco products. Faculty will discuss tailored approaches to prevent tobacco use and cessation methods such as motivational interviewing and pharmacology.
