EMVERM (mebendazole) chewable tablets

EMVERM chewable tablet is the only FDA-Approved prescription treatment indicated for pinworm. Doctors have been prescribing mebendazole, the active ingredient in EMVERM, to treat pinworm for more than 40 years. Mebendazole is one of the AAP Red Book recommended drugs of choice to treat pinworm.

EMVERM offers a 95% cure rate against pinworm in a single dose. Emverm comes in a chewable, kid-friendly tablet that can be swallowed whole or crushed with food. Eligible patients may pay as little as $5 on their Emverm prescription using the Emverm savings program.

EMVERM is contraindicated in persons with a known hypersensitivity to the drug. Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis have been reported with concomitant use of mebendazole and metronidazole. Concomitant use of EMVERM and metronidazole should be avoided.
