Dr Annie-Claude Valcourt received a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from Laval University in 1997. Following a dental residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital in 1999, she pursued her specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a Master of Science obtained in 2005. She is a fellow of the Royal college since 2005.
Having a great interest in pediatric surgery, she completed a specialty training in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery from the Lapeyronie Hospital, University of Montpellier in France. She is a member of the committee for the treatment of cleft patients and other orofacial deformities at the CHUL-Mother and Child Hospital Center. Dr Valcourt has been in private practice for over 14 years with an expertise in pediatric maxillofacial surgery.
In addition to being Co-Director of the program, she is actively involved in teaching in the specialization program in Maxillofacial Surgery at Laval University. She participates in undergraduate teaching as an associate professor since January 2007 in local anesthesia, sedation and surgery.
She is also the mother of two beautiful teenage girls, enjoying skiing in the winter and shares her love of music with them! Passionate about history and travel, she enjoys discovering new places.
