Dr. Dina Amin is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University. She is specialized in oral, head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery. She is graduated from King Abdulaziz University, which is the only international Commission on Dental Accreditation American Dental Association accredited (CODA) university in the United States (US). She completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Saudi Arabia, followed by fellowships in Oral, Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Birmingham, US.
Dr. Amin joined the Emory Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2016 as the director of the OMS Ambulatory Clinic. In 2021 she was appointed as the associate chief of OMS service at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Amin is accredited with introducing head and neck oncology, and microvascular reconstruction, utilizing computer assisted surgery and computer assisted navigation to complex craniomaxillofacial trauma and advanced head and neck reconstruction to the clinical services of Emory OMFS.
Her primary research evolves from her interest in craniomaxillofacial trauma and head and neck reconstruction as she is the PI of orbital trauma clinical trial. Dr. Amin has received intramural and international grants. In addition, she is the author of more than 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
