There is no doubt the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way oral healthcare is delivered. As the pandemic has subsided, what does the new normal resemble for treatment protocols? This session will review the current guidance from the CDC, current OSHA regulations and other public health issues that influence dentistry as a whole and oral and maxillofacial surgery specifically. Discussion topics include PPE requirements, screening of patients and employees as well as a review of research on aerosol containment, disinfecting products and vaccinations for healthcare workers.
