Dr. Manish Bhagania graduated from College of Dental Surgery, Mangalore, India and earned his MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal University, India. He was a full-time faculty member at the Manipal University for nine years before moving to the US. At Manipal, Dr. Bhagania was responsible for directing the OMS training of predoctoral dental students and for guiding postgraduate residents. He is a life-time member of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India and a licensed American Heart Association BLS instructor. Dr. Bhagania was the recipient of the AO Craniomaxillofacial Fellowship award from the Ludwigs Maximillian University at Munich, Germany where he was trained by some of the best l surgeons in Germany. Besides active patient care and surgical practice, he has been involved in multiple interdisciplinary research projects, many of which have gone to the extent of publications, scientific devices and surgical techniques. He was presented with the Excellence in Teaching Award for the year 2015 by the Manipal University, India. Dr. Bhagania’s interests include clinical and didactic training in dentoalveolar surgery, treatment of medically compromised patients, management of orofacial and dental pain, oral implantology and incorporation of research and development into the oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. Dr. Bhagania joined BU SDM in August 2016 and currently acts as Director of Predoctoral Education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery alongwith Director of Internship program in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been actively involved in patient care at Boston Medical Center since 2017 as an Attending Oral Surgeon.
