The world now requires everyone to be “on” 24/7. Social media has taken over, staff drama prevails, patients expect a response instantly and work-life balance is a topic of daily conversation in social circles and media outlets. But this has led to a higher-than-ever level of early surgeon and staff burnout from a career trained so hard to achieve. This session will provide tips on how to avoid provider burnout or, if on the tipping point (or having tipped), how to help claw the way back.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Review how to drive a to-do list and not let the to-do list do the driving.
Create a cohesive team and one that does not stress.
Demonstrate cutting negativity from the office that includes actions such as yelling, eye-rolling and tardiness.
Compose a plan for who will cover areas such as social media posting, insurance claims, responding to patient emails and staff issues.
Use automation as much as possible through such measures as contract renewals, weekly to-do list items and ordering supplies.
