Douglas Fish, PharmD, FCCP, FCCM, FIDP, FASHP, BCCCP, BCPS-AQ ID
Douglas Fish, PharmD, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy in Aurora, Colorado. Additionally, he is a Clinical Specialist in Critical Care/Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus. He is the director of the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency program and co-directs a clinical research fellowship program in Critical Care/Infectious Diseases. Dr. Fish has published more than 150 original research articles, review articles, and book chapters dealing with the areas of critical care, antimicrobial use, and infectious diseases. His research interests include antimicrobial pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, the use of antimicrobials in critically ill and immunocompromised patients, drug dosing in severe organ dysfunction, and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Fish is active in many state and national professional societies and has served in many leadership roles within these organizations. He also has a passion for global health and has served as a visiting professor or a member of volunteer medical teams in nearly a dozen countries.
