Jim Johnson, PharmD, is a clinical pharmacist practicing infectious diseases at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem NC. He enjoys caring for both inpatients and ambulatory patients to help optimize the use of antimicrobial medications. He participates in the institution’s antimicrobial stewardship effort, the Center for Antimicrobial Utilization, Stewardship, and Epidemiology (CAUSE). Jim also enjoys mentoring trainees and colleagues, and is an adjunct associate professor of medicine at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. His interests include antimicrobial pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial pharmacokinetics, viral infections, and antimicrobial stewardship. He is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists.
