I am a 3rd year pediatric infectious diseases fellow at Emory University. My path to a career in pediatric infectious disease started with a Master of Science degree in global medicine from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, followed by my medical education at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center, and residency training in pediatrics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
My principal clinical interest includes prevention of infectious complications in the immunocompromised host, including solid-organ and stem cell transplantation population. My primary research interests include intestinal microbiome changes within pediatric oncology and stem cell transplant populations. Most recently, I have been involved in clinical SARS-CoV-2 studies including epidemiological assessments of patients within our hospital system and community and am serving as a co-investigator in the Moderna COVE mRNA-1273-P301 phase III clinical trial at Emory University.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and miniature aussiedoodle, yoga, traveling, and hiking!
