Simon Döhrmann completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Biology at the Technical University of Brunswick, Germany. He completed his PhD in infection biology studuying the innate immune response to bacterial infections at the Humboldt-Univerity of Berlin, Germany, in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego. During his PhD he received multiple awards/grants (German Academic Exchange Service, Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds and others). After a short Post-doc focusing on host-microbe interactions in Dr. Nizet's laboratory at UCSD, he started his career in Biotech at Cidara Therapeutics Inc. in San Diego, CA. He is a Senior Scientist in the Immunology Department at Cidara.
