Dr. Brooks Keene is a resident physician at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, which is part of the Atrium Health System. His current interests include social determinants of health, policy and advocacy, point of care ultrasound, and global health. He attended medical school at the Mercer University School of Medicine, and received both his masters in international affairs and his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He previously worked on policy and advocacy related to global safe water and sanitation for CARE International, as a consultant on policy and advocacy global devleopment issues based out of Kenya, and before that for CNN International as an associate producer.
