Hilary Miller-Handley is an Internal Medicine/Pediatric Infectious Disease fellow at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She graduated medical school from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. During residency, she studied the durability of hepatitis B vaccinations in pediatric kidney transplant recipients. She remained in Cincinnati for fellowship and is currently investigating the effects of immunosuppressive agents on the pathogen-specific adaptive immune response. Her career plans include a career in academic medicine as a physician scientist focusing on the relationship between infection and the immune response particularly in patients with iatrogenic immunodeficiency.
