Lieutenant Commander Lina I Elbadawi is a Medical Officer in the US Public Health Service, and serves in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where she works on outbreak responses in healthcare settings. Prior to this she worked at the Center for Preparedness and Response, CDC assigned to the Wisconsin Division of Public Health where she served as the medical consultant for the state TB program, and provided technical assistance on outbreak response, and surveillance system strengthening. She completed CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service program in 2016, after internal medicine training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
