Dr Lalani serves as the Research Area Director for Deployment and Travel Related Infections at the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program, Dept of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD. A native of Pakistan, she completed her basic medical training at the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi. She pursued an internal medicine residency, infectious disease fellowship and a Masters in Health Sciences at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Dr Lalani's research is focused on clinical trials and translational research in the deployment or high-risk travel setting. She is currently an Associate Professor of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics at USUHS.
