Anne Piantadosi MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and a practicing Infectious Disease physician at Emory University School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include tick-borne infections, neurological infections, and emerging viruses. Anne earned an MD/PhD from the University of Washington, completed clinical training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at Massachusetts General Hospital, and conducted post-doctoral research at the Broad Institute. She joined Emory in the fall of 2019, and current research directions include: 1) understanding the clinical manifestations and molecular epidemiology of Powassan virus, an emerging tick-borne flavivirus, and 2) unbiased viral detection using metagenomic sequencing.
