Pediatric Infectious Diseases Attending, Director of Quality Improvement for the division of ID
Boston Children's Hospital
Disclosure: I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
I joined the faculty at Boston Children's Hospital in August 2019 as an Assistant of medicine in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. I completed training in a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital, where I focused on care of children with infectious diseases and researching tuberculosis in internationally displaced children. My primary role in Boston is as an inpatient and outpatient consultant, and medical education of the ID fellows, as well as residents and medical students who rotate on our service. Most of my remaining time is spent serving as the director of quality improvement for the division of pediatric infectious diseases. In my role as director of quality improvement, I have developed projects that involve multidisciplinary coordination and participation. I have focused on projects in collaboration with our antimicrobial stewardship program, infection prevention and control program, and our neuroimmunology and nephrology colleagues. I also serve as a consultant for the development of clinical pathways at Boston Children's Hospital.
