Dr. Rebecca Pellett Madan is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and is an attending physician at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, where she serves as Director of Pediatric Transplant Infectious Diseases. Her clinical and research programs focus on immune reconstitution following solid organ transplantation and adaptive immune responses to vaccination in transplanted children. Dr. Pellett Madan’s interest in transplantation began at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she received her MD in 2001. She completed her pediatric residency and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She serves as a voluntary consultant for LiveOnNY, the organ procurement organization for the New York City metropolitan area, and is a contributor to infectious diseases guidelines for the American Society for Transplantation and The Transplantation Society.
