I am currently an Onco-Transplant Infectious Diseases Fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and UTHealth. I received my medical degree in July 2012 at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Beirut and joined, thereafter, the Hotel Dieu de France, Saint Joseph University as a resident. In 2016, I pursued a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Pierre & Marie Curie University in Paris, France. In 2018, I joined the McGovern Medical School and MD Anderson Cancer Center as a fellow in the Department of Infectious Diseases, immunocompromised track. I am actively involved in prospective and randomized antimicrobial clinical trials in immunocompromised and stem cell transplant hosts. My other interest is evaluating the impact of novel anti-cancer therapies such as checkpoint inhibitors immunotherapy on infectious risk. Our research work was presented in several international meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals.
