Emily Hoff, M.D., is a second-year internal medicine resident at University of Texas Southwestern who is interested in infectious diseases, substance use and healthcare in the criminal justice system. She completed her undergraduate education in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Middlebury College summa cum laude and her Medical Degree at Yale University. Her prior research focused on PrEP, medications for opioid use disorders as HIV prevention and reproductive health among women who use drugs and women involved in criminal justice. She will pursue infectious disease and addiction medicine fellowships followed by a career in academic medicine that involves HIV-focused primary care, inpatient medicine and clinical research focused on improving healthcare at the intersection of infectious diseases and addiction medicine.
