Job profile- working in a tertiary care hospital during the last 14 years and involved in out-patient and in-patient care, initially in internal medicine and since 2013 in ID. Post ID training, underwent observorship in infections in hemonc at Karmanos Cancer Centre, WSU. Takes care of general, paediatric, HIV, transplant, hemato-oncology infectious diseases and immunization. Also head AMS program and HIC of KIMS Health care group. Active surveillance of HAI, audit and quality improvement projects in IC, outbreak management, employee health and other aspects of IC are attended to. Conduct monthly IC meeting with follow up plans. As part of antibiotic stewardship program all patients on high end antibiotic are seen. Annual hospital antibiogram is made and recommendation of empiric therapy based on infectious disease syndrome is circulated in hospital. Have presented 23 abstracts in national and international conferences, 2 with travel grants and have 15 publications. Head the training program for nurses on infection control- KIMS Certification in Infection Prevention (KCIP).
