Dr Dimitrios Farmakiotis, MD, FACP, is the Director of Transplant and Oncology ID at Brown University. His research itnerests focus on infections in immunocompromised individuals, fungal infections, resistance in Candida species, CMV, hepatitis-C and HIV in transplantation, neutropenic fever and COVID-19. Dr. Farmakiotis has received institutitonal, foundation and industry funding, led and participated in multi-center studies and clinical trials, and co-authored >90 blook chapters and peer-reviewed articles, some of which were publsihed in high-impact journals, such as The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, JAMA and Clinical Infectious Diseases.
