Faran Ahmad is an Infectious Diseases-Critical Care Medicine fellow at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha Nebraska. He graduated from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan in 2010 and then moved to the United States for post-graduate residency training. He completed his Internal Medicine residency from Montefiore Medical Center, New York in 2017 and then joined Rochester General Hospital as an Internal Medicine attending physician. Motivated by his keen interest in the field of Infectious Diseases, he joined combined Infectious Disease- Critical Care Medicine fellowship training at Creighton University Medical Center Omaha, Nebraska. His fields of interest include bacterial infectious diseases, emerging infectious diseases, septic shock and critical illnesses associated with infectious diseases.
During his brief academic career, he has been publishing various review articles related to his fields of interest. His ongoing research and quality improvement projects are focusing on gram- negative bacterial infectious processes in CNS shunts and drainage catheters, septic shock re-admission, Legionella testing and COVID-19 health disparaties.
