Dr. Venugopalan is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Translational Research at the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy. She also serves as the Infectious Diseases clinical specialist at the UF Health Shands Hospital. As a board-certified pharmacist in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy, Dr. Venugopalan has developed and maintained antimicrobial stewardship programs at large academic centers as well as community teaching hospitals. Dr. Venugopalan’s research and patient care activities focus on healthcare associated infections, multidrug resistant gram-negative infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and beta-lactam therapeutic drug monitoring.
