Samuel Schnittman is third-year internal medicine resident physician and StARR Research Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco. His research interests are in understanding the mechanisms that underlie inflammation and immune activation in HIV and their consequences leading to non-AIDS comorbidities, with the goal of targeting therapeutic interventions to reduce these clinical outcomes. He received his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
