Remon Abu-Elyazeed, MD, PhD, is an Infectious Diseases Physician. In 2002, he joined GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals as the Director, Clinical R&D and Medical Affairs Vaccines- Middle East and Africa based in Singapore. Still with GSK, he moved to the US in 2005 and served in various capacities. He is currently the head of Portfolio Brands and Early Assets, U. S. Medical and Clinical Affairs. Before joining GSK, he was the Head of the Clinical Investigation Branch at the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit, Cairo. During that time, he consulted with WHO, International Vaccine Institute of Korea, and conducted collaborative research with the U.S. NIH and, University of Zurich’s Institute of Social & Preventive Medicine.
