Dr. Amber Ladak is the clinical pharmacist in Augusta University's outpatient Infectious Disease Clinic in Augusta, GA. She completed her undergraduate and PharmD degrees at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She then went on to complete a one-year Public Health and Ambulatory Care Residency at the Kansas City CARE Clinic and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in Kansas City, MO where she also received her initial training in HIV.
Amber joined Augusta University in 2015 and was the first pharmacist to establish a permanent clinical pharmacy presence in the clinic. Her primary focus is the care of people living with HIV who attend the Ryan White Grant funded clinic. She is part of the multi-disciplinary patient care team in which she helps optimize patient therapy, and works one-on-one to support patients who struggle with adherence to their antiretroviral therapies. Amber also helps manage patients with HIV/HCV co-infection and provide PrEP therapy for patients.
Amber is credentialed as a specialized HIV Pharmacist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). Her interests include: antiretroviral stewarrdship, antiretroviral resistance, HIV/HCV co-infection, PReP, and pharmacy and interprofessional education.
