Dr. Gupta is a Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair for Research for the Department of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and subsequently completed his internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at Indiana University (Indianapolis). He is an attending physician at the Eskenazi Hospital HIV outpatient clinic and is an active investigator in the general field of HIV therapeutics and complications. Dr. Gupta is funded by the National Institutes of Health to research the effects of HIV and its therapies on cardiovascular diseases.
