Matteo Samuele Pizzuto obtained his Master Degree in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Padua and his PhD in Virology and Oncolytic Virotherapy at the Imperial College London. He has been working at the FAO reference laboratory for avian influenza virus and has completed his training in reverse genetics at the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. He is currently Principal Scientist at Humabs BioMed SA a subsidiary of Vir Biotechnology in Bellinzona, Switzerland, where he coordinates a team focused on the discovery of monoclonal antibodies against different enteric and respiratory pathogens.
