Dr. Lorena Guerrero-Torres is a second year fellow of Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Medical and Nutritional Sciences Salvador Zubirán (INCMNSZ) in Mexico City.
She graduated from the Medical School of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) in 2015 where she was President of the Medical School's Student Council from 2011 to 2012. In 2013, she did an Internship at the Violence and Injury Prevention Unit at the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization where she participated in projects related to intimate partner violence. Dr. Guerrero-Torres did her residency in Internal Medicine at the INCMNSZ where she got involved with HIV research projects regarding HIV Continuum of Care and prevention. Main areas of interest are Infectious Diseases, specially HIV, and Public Health.
