Celia Kucera, CORE MSIV and Amyeo Jereen, SELECT MSIV, are both medical students at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. They completed a research project at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India between their first and second years of medical school. Mrs. Kucera was awarded the RISE Summer Scholarly Award of $3000 to complete this research. Their findings have been presented in both oral and poster formats, and won the Outstanding Oral Presentation Second Prize at the USF 9th Annual Student Symposium in 2018. They plan on publishing a manuscript of their work by the end of 2020. Both Mrs. Kucera and Ms. Jereen are pursuing careers in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
