Milner Staub, MD, MPH,, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she serves as the Director of Adult Ambulatory Antimicrobial Stewardship. She also serves as the Physician Champion of Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Veteran Affairs Tennessee Valley Healthcare System.
Dr. Staub’s interests include quality improvement of healthcare systems and patient safety, antimicrobial stewardship, and infection prevention. Her research focuses on the development, implementation, and adaptation of effective antimicrobial stewardship interventions particularly in the outpatient setting across healthcare systems and communities.
Dr. Staub completed a VA Quality Scholars Fellowship (2019-2021). She completed fellowship in infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (2017-2019) and was awarded the Leadership in Epidemiology, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Public Health (LEAP) Fellowship (2018-2019). She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine (2013-2016) and served as Chief Resident of Quality and Safety at the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Healthcare System and the University of Washington (2016-2017).
