Dipesh Solanky, MD is a resident physician at the Univeristy of California, San Diego. He completed his medical training at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. His research interests lie at the intersection between infectious diseases, gastroenterology and global public health. Long term, he plans to perform public health-oriented research focused on understanding how specific infectious diseases are distributed in move through a population, as well as employing interventions (e.g. trialing point of care diagnostic testing and low-cost therapeutics, implementing public health education initiatives, etc.) to reduce their domestic and global burden.
