Allyn is AstraZeneca’s Global Medical lead for Influenza and is responsible for the medical, publication and external engagement strategy for AstraZeneca’s Influenza vaccine FluMist/Fluenz (live attenuated influenza vaccine). She provides the medical insight and leadership for the US and Global Influenza Product Teams, including scientific engagement with external public heath bodies and other external organizations and experts. She serves on the annual Strain Selection Committee for LAIV. Allyn is also responsible for leading post marketing influenza-related publication activities.
AstraZeneca’s recent partnership with Oxford University on the COVID-19 Vaccine and early development of COVID-19 monoclonal antibodies has given Allyn the opportunity to be the US Medical Lead on the COVID-19 Taskforce. The goal of the Taskforce is to ensure that AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 products reach their potential to make a positive public health impact around the world.
