Catherine Bielick, MSc, MD, (pronouns: she/her) grew up in Florida with a passion for disadvantaged groups and is now finishing her third and final year of Internal Medicine Residency at the Boston University Medical Center. Throughout her educational and career path she has been closely involved with improving healthcare for the undomiciled, transgender groups, populations without health insurance, and refugees. She started a clinic protocol for Gender Affirming Hormone Replacement Therapy at the University of Florida's Equal Access Clinic and teaches her co-residents about what it means to care for this group as an internist. She is now applying for a fellowship in Infectious Disease where she hopes to continue working with the LGBT population, opioid use disorder, HIV care, and to bring care for other infectious diseases of poverty internationally to the refugee.
