Thomas D. Dieringer MD, second year Infectious Diseases Fellow at the University of California Los Angeles Multicampus Infectious Diseases Program. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Rochester followed by a one year post-baccalaureate research program at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. I attended medical school at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and completed my residency training in internal medicine at the University of Virginia. My clinical and research interests include immunocompromised and transplant infectious diseases, the role of the microbiome in human health and disease, antimicrobial stewardship, medical education, and public health policy. Following completion of my infectious diseases fellowship, I will be pursuing an advanced fellowship in Immunocompromised Host and Transplant Infectious Diseases at Stanford University.
