My name is Núria Reig and I am the Head of R&D at SOM Biotech. I am a biochemist with postdoc experience in Switzerland and the US in the fields of immunology and bacterial pathogenesis. After my postdoc I joined a Swiss biotech as senior scientist developing peptide drugs for inflammatory diseases, and then I joined SOM Biotech in 2010 first as project manager and then as R&D manager. At SOM Biotech I have been involved in several projects developed at the company, including a project in TTR amyloidosis that was licensed at the end of 2016 after a successful Phase 2 proof of concept clinical trial. Now, as Head of R&D, I oversee the R&D activities of the company and I am particularly involved in the Covid-19 program.
